A non-profit organization invested in promoting cycling culture, improving infrastructure, and strengthening the cycling community in Nova Scotia

Hike Nova Scotia

Hike Nova Scotia is a nonprofit organization that encourages and promotes a growing hiking culture throughout the province.

An index of all trail development and maintenance organizations in Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities

A collective voice for municipalities on matters that fall within provincial jurisdiction. Membership is comprised of Mayors, Wardens and Councillors from municipalities across Nova Scotia. NSFM has advocated for improving active transportation.

DalTRAC

The Dalhousie Transportation Collaboratory is a multi-disciplinary research facility dedicated to the advancement of transportation engineering / planning research and practice at Dalhousie University. The unit aims to contribute to transportation studies, planning, and analysis at local, regional and national levels.

Heartland Tour

An annual public awareness campaign presented by the Cardiac Cycling Society of Nova Scotia, encouraging Nova Scotians to live a more physically active lifestyle.

Move New Brunswick

An event bringing together active transportation practitioners from across New Brunswick and resources from across the country.

Women on Wheels

A program that focuses on building the bicycle skills of women of all ages in several communities across Nova Scotia.

Bike Friendly Certification

A recognition and training program for businesses and institutions that support bicycle commuting, bicycle travel and bicycle tourism experiences in Nova Scotia.

Making Tracks

Making Tracks helps children and youth develop active transportation skill competency, confidence and safety, encouraging them to choose active transportation as a means to travel within their communities.

Bike Again

A volunteer-run, do-it-yourself bike shop in Halifax providing space, tools, and some know-how. Bike Again aims to get more people on bikes, promote cycling, increase bike literacy, and build a stronger cycling community.
